I'm gonna make 5,000 paintings this summer. Every artist has a different idea on what exactly it means to be an artist. For me, this summer, it has something to do with quantity. I'll give most of them away and sell a few to pay for it all. To make it work, I have to make them cheap. I hope to have them down to a dollar or two apiece by the end of the summer including parts and labor. That's why they're going on cardboard, which is dirt cheap. You can't draw or paint on cardboard because it has ridges and they stick out and look bad. Next-level stencils, on the other hand, look great.
Here is the very first installment of 56 paintings from about 30 designs. I think I have about 60 designs so far this summer.
